Its time for the Shallowbag Shag festival

You know summer is kicking off in the Outer Banks when the Shallowbag Shag festival is happening. Combining great food and music from the golden years of rock n roll, the festival will be filled with Obx tourists and locals alike. All will be gathered to enjoy the beach, the sun, and incredible music.

The Jolly Roger proudly is one of a few select Outer Banks Restaurants that will be at the Shag festival. We will bring some of our famous menu favorites to enjoy while you enjoy the bands.

Ultimate Shag Festival Comfort Food

The Jolly Roger restaurant knows you cannot have a festival in the Outer Banks without the ultimate selection in fun family food favorites. Our menu is set to include:

• Hot Dogs….$3
• Sausage n peppers….$7

• Muffins….$3

Everything is delicious but the sausage and peppers or shrimp po-boy make a special treat.

Music

Every two hours starting at 1 in the afternoon and ending at 7 a new band comes on the Shag stage to play. This includes:

• Steve Owens at 1
• The Tams two hours later at 3
• Jim Quick at 5
• and…drumroll, the Temptations at 7 featuring some of the greatest Motown hits in history

Standing Room Dancing Only

Most of the seats are in the grass. Do not forget to bring your lawn chairs.
