I once heard the greatest word in the English language is FREE. To a parent the words Kids Eat Free brings a sigh of relief. It costs money to entertain your children. They need to go places and do things and that..costs some cash. But not here:

Kidsfest is FREE

This includes a host of activities including:

• ice cream
• snowballs
• face painting
• music
• interactive percussion petting zoo (totally safe…referring to instruments)
• arts and crafts
• bubbles
• municipal trucks (hey a big fire engine is like Barney to these kids)

Did I say Kidsfest was no charge:)

What is a percussion petting zoo?

The official description of a percussion petting zoo is a unique collection of instruments allowing young people to interact with the different sounds. Now that is the official definition. The parent definition would be:

Ways to keep your kid happy and busy without fear of destroying things

Hey, its a drum, they can hit it as hard as they want. Once the children start hitting the drum 2 things will happen:

• its gonna get noisy in the Outer Banks
• Your child will be enthralled with the chance to hit that drum
