One of the most popular events in the Outer Banks is almost here–the Pirate Marathon and first flight 5k are set to begin.

What is the first activity of the Pirate Marathon?
On April 15th the Pirate Expo begins at the Dare County Rec Center featuring:

- Athletic clothes
- Food
- Music
- Shopping
- Pirates
Where is the expo?
The Expo will be at the Dare County rec center
When does it start?
Expo doors open at 12
When and where are the races?
The race is April 16th and 17th in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina at multiple locations

Friday: Expo
Dare county rec center
12 pm
Pirate Fun Run
Right after the first flight get the kiddies (young skallywags) involved in a one mile run.
Sunday: Pirate Marathon

7 am
Is parking free?
The parking will be free and there is a shuttle service available
Will there be entertainment?
Hey this is the Jolly Roger Pirate crew. Prepare for a huge celebration at the finish line including:
Outer Banks Pirate Jamboree
Sunday
Pirates quay
8 am
At the finish line runners will receive
- free beer
- free food
- Medal
- T-shirt
- But there is more. There is live music and a costume contest
