Nevertheless make the most of this official opportunity and wear your best o
utfit featuring white. The Jolly Roger has a whole lineup of fun, food, and End Of Summer celebrations to make this the best Labor Day party ever!

No White After Labor Day.. Says Who?
Who made this rule? It is not a religious rule. My parents never really got mad at me when I “slipped” and wore a white t-shirt after September 4th. I put a clip here of some possible explanations as to this cultural mandate. Personally, I am suspecting it was something one percenters did to remain fashionable as weather made it impractical to wear white.
There are occasions when wearing white may not be a good idea. Not for fashion reasons, but for practicality reasons. Here are a few I thought of where I would not want to have white on…any day of the year
- Eating Italian meals with red sauce
- Eating anything messy
- Rainy, muddy nasty days
- When you really do not want to stand out
- When it is freezing and a darker color will help you retain more heat
